Martial arts SGM Christian Wulf started his career with Judo in the mid 60s in the Hamburg-based club “BC Nippon”. During this time Christian Wulf began to acquire first experiences in tournaments and won many Judo championships in his young age.
When Senior GGM Master Al Dacascos moved to Germany in early summer 1974 he started his first Kung Fu training group in the “BC Nippon”, Christian Wulf was among the first students to take up Kajukenbo-WHKD Kung Fu.
In 1976 Christian Wulf participated as the first Kung Fu fighter into Karate tournaments. He won in a row the championships of the German Karate Union (DKU) for Hamburg, northern Germany and, finally, also the German Championship. In the following Kung Fu Championships in Paris his WHKD team became the runner-up.
In 1977, on invitation of Fred King, Christian Wulf journeyed to the USA for the first time to participate in training and in the U.S. tournaments in Portland, Oregon.
The following year, after a period of very intensive training (6-8 hours daily) with Malia Bernal and Al Dacascos, Christian Wulf won many champion titles at the „Ed Parker International Karate Tournament“ in Long Beach, at that time the biggest yearly tournament of this kind in the Western world with about 3,000 participants.
Since that time for over 10 years Christian Wulf regularly traveled to the United States once a year for about 8-10 weeks during the summer holidays. There he successfully participated in all important ranking Material Arts tournaments. As the first European fighter he won the „Chinese Kata/Weapons division against well-known U.S. champions such as Anthony Chan, George Chung, John Chung, Cynthia Rothrock, Ernie Reyes and Roger Tung. For many years Christian Wulf was counted among the best 10 in the overall US-tournament rankings.
In the following years Christian Wulf also traveled to China and Taiwan for several times. There he trained with some of the best teachers such as Wu Shu master Wu Meiling, Black Panther style master Muo Hui Shen, Praying Mantis style master Kao.
Christian Wulf successfully fought in the official German National Team at the WAKO Kickboxing Tournaments by Georg Brückner and Mike Anderson. Multiple times he won the official WAKO European Championship in Semi-Contact fighting and in the last 50 years hundreds of trophies and many Grand Champions. In 2004 he gained the world championship in Form of the WKA/IASKA in Basel, Switzerland.
Currently besides his work in the German WHKD-Association with over 2500 members and leading the “Dacascos Kung Fu Showteam” which took first place in Beijing/China January 2007. In 2013 he got nominated for “Masters Hall of Fame” in LA/USA and into “Munich Hall of Honors” for his contributions and accomplishments to the Martial Arts community and beyond. In the same year Christian Wulf won Grand Champion at “KSDI Emperado Memorial Karate Tournament” in Ohau/Hawaii.
In Oct 2015 after he got physical tested in Ohau/Hawaii in front of many GGM`s, (on the board: GGM Dechi Emperado, SGM Rick Kingi, GGM Gary Forbach, SGM Janice Samora, GGM Henry Mandac, GGM Al Dacascos,Al, GGM Dela Cruz ) Christian Wulf received his official title “Grand Master” and 9th degree Blackbelt in Kajukenbo/WunHopKuenDo.
Since today 2024 SGM Christian Wulf teaches a daily base in his Kajukenbo-WHKD academy in Hamburg, builds up 35 own high rank black belts 1 & 2. and 3.Generation and created many national and international champions in Form and Fighting. He heads a black belt WHKD family in Poland.
2020 he got voted to be a full member into the Kajukenbo BOA / board of adviser.
Due to his ongoing world-wide training- and tournament/seminar-travels and constant exchange of experiences with many well-known martial artists, SGM Master Christian Wulf is to be recognized as one of the leading martial artists of our time.
